Issues Persist With Milford Firehouse's Heating System
The inadequate heating system at the East Side Fire Station is requiring firefighters to use space heaters, according to a report.
MILFORD, CT — The East Side Fire Station's under-performing heating system has firefighters bundling up and utilizing space heaters, The Milford Mirror reported. Fire Commission officials said they hope to have it resolved next month, but the problem has persisted for 10 years.
The station at 980 New Haven Ave. opened in 2013. The issue is that it has a heat pump system not built for a Northeast climate.
