Man Assaulted Woman; Bail Set At $25K: Milford Police
Milford police said Jesse Banyai, of New Haven, punched a woman in the face twice.
MILFORD, CT — A New Haven man is accused of assaulting a woman in Milford, police said.
On Tuesday, police said they arrested Jesse Banyai, 37, of Whaley Avenue, on a warrant. His bail was set at $25,000.
Police said in a news release Banyai is accused of "grabbing a female by the arms preventing her from leaving the room. Banyai then punched the female in the face twice and took her phone so she could not call 911, in December 2020."

He is charged with disorderly conduct, unlawful restraint, third-degree assault and interfering with an emergency call.
