Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Woman In Milford: Police

The man took the victim's phones away, held her by her neck and sexually assaulted her, Milford police said.

MILFORD, CT — A Stratford man is charged with sexual assault and strangulation after he held a woman for hours in a Milford home, according to police.

Adam Litzie, 36, of Coolidge Street, was arrested about 1 a.m. Friday after law enforcement went to a residence on Seaside Avenue in response to a report of possible domestic violence, Milford police said.

Litzie is accused of pushing a woman into a refrigerator and cabinets, pulling her hair and breaking items in the home, according to police. When the woman told Litzie that she planned to call law enforcement, Litzie took her cellphone and home phone, held her by her neck and sexually assaulted her, police said.

After several hours, Litzie passed out, allowing the woman to call 911, according to police.

Litzie is charged with third-degree sexual assault, third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation, third-degree criminal mischief, unlawful restraint, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call, police said. His bond was set at $100,000, according to police.
