MILFORD, CT ? A man is accused of occupying an Airbnb when it was supposed to be empty, according to police.

Police responded to a call reporting suspicious activity at a Wood Avenue address on Tuesday night. The home is currently being used as an Airbnb. The address is nearby to Wildemere Beach and Walnut Beach.

The home was supposed to be empty, but police found a 27-year-old Newburg, New York, man inside.

Police took him into custody. He was charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal trespassing.

Bond was set at $5,000. The man was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
