Man Ripped Open Convertible Top, Stole All 4 Tires: Milford PD
Police said the items taken were worth $1,190 and the damage to the vehicle exceeded $1,600.
MILFORD, CT — A New Haven man is accused of stealing more than $1,000 worth of items from a vehicle, Milford police said.
On April 25, police arrested Jose Mejias, 29 on an arrest warrant, police said. Police said, "Mejias is accused of ripping open a vehicle’s convertible top and taking several valuable vehicle accessories along with all 4 tires from the vehicle in June, 2020."
Police said the items taken were worth $1,190 and the damage to the vehicle exceeded $1,600.

He is charged with third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, and fourth-degree larceny.
