A woman of great talent, grace, and faith, Marie was known for her extraordinary singing voice.

In Loving Memory of Marie E. Busk
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Marie E.
Busk, who peacefully departed this life on the morning of Tuesday, November 4, 2025,
at the age of 90.
Marie was a loving and devoted wife to her late husband, Robert P. Busk Sr., with whom
she shared many years of happiness, faith, and unwavering companionship. Together,
they built a beautiful life and a family grounded in love and compassion. Family meant
everything to Marie. She poured her heart into raising her nine children, creating a
home filled with love, laughter, and faith. Even as her family grew, she remained a
constant and loving presence in the lives of her fifteen grandchildren and ten great-
grandchildren?attending their milestones, celebrating their joys, and offering her
endless encouragement and support. Her legacy of love, warmth, and devotion will
forever live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
A woman of great talent, grace, and faith, Marie was known for her extraordinary
singing voice. She was honored to be the first soloist at Christ the Redeemer Parish in
Milford, where her beautiful voice touched the hearts of all who heard her sing. Her gift
of music extended beyond the church, as she was also a featured vocalist on a local
radio program, sharing her passion and talent with the wider community. More than a
gifted musician, Marie was a woman of deep faith whose love for God and commitment
to others inspired everyone around her.
Her joyful spirit and love of life was evident in all she did. Proud of her Irish heritage,
Marie was a charter member of the Irish Heritage Society of Milford, where she joyfully
celebrated her ancestry and participated in their monthly luncheons. She was also a
creative spirit who loved gardening in the backyard and arts and crafts, specifically
creating floral arrangements, always finding beauty in the world and sharing it with
those she loved. Her gentle heart, radiant smile, and unwavering kindness left a lasting
impression on all who knew her.
Marie was born on December 20, 1934, in the Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late Milo
and Margaret (Kelly) Evans. She is survived by her nine beloved children: Robert P.
Busk Jr. (Sharon) of Virginia; Peggy Barrett (Richard) of Milford; David Busk (Kim) of
South Carolina; Barry Busk (Alice) of North Carolina; Christopher Busk of Milford; Sheila
Murray (Scott) of Milford; Jennine Rea (Michael) of Milford; Michael Busk (Larissa) of
Orange; and Shaun Busk of Milford.
She will be lovingly remembered by her fifteen grandchildren: Richard Barrett (Jen),
Brenda Comerford (CJ), Colleen Stewart (Ian), David Busk (Katie), Brian Barrett
(Christina), Heather Busk (Michael), John DeNezzo (Carly), Meghan Williams (Ted),
Keith Busk, Jessica Busk (Nathan), Patrick Busk, Justin Busk, Amber Busk, Karin Busk,
and Emma Busk, as well as her ten great-grandchildren: Mason, Conor, Gavin, Richie,
Lacey, Shea, Liam, Cara, Michael, and Amelia.
In addition to her husband, Robert P. Busk Sr., Marie was predeceased by her three
siblings: Kathleen Muzzio, Irene Rieve, and Richard Evans.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Marie will be celebrated on Saturday, November 8, 2025,
at 9:30 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Church, 325 Oronoque Road, Milford, CT.
Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Milford, CT. Family and friends may call on
Friday, November 7, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291
Bridgeport Avenue, Milford, CT.
