Milford Business Scores A 'Touchdown' In Its Debut

MILFORD, CT — A new business is hoping it scored a touchdown with its array of smoothies and shakes. Touchdown Nutrition opened in late November at 750 Boston Post Road and it sells a wide array of shakes, energizing teas and protein coffees.

"The dream for Touchdown Nutrition is to impact the whole community of Milford," said Jennifer Langlois. "We want Touchdown to be a place where the whole family can come in together, grab a quick, healthy drink, network with others, and feel like they are part of a community. We came up with the name Touchdown Nutrition because of the deep love for the game of football in our family. Many nutrition clubs are geared more toward females, and we wanted to make sure that males feel just as comfortable coming in as well."

Langlois said the business serves "tasty protein meal replacement shakes completely guilt free."

"You can get some of your favorite treats like Reese's peanut butter cups or a carrot cake in shake form," she said. "All shakes are around 2 grams of sugar, 24-36 grams of protein, and 200-300 calories. Each month we will be having different specials of creative shakes to enjoy for that specific month. "

Besides shakes, they also offer energizing teas. The teas come in many flavors like passion fruit, mango, cherry and have different levels of energy. They also add in supplements like B-12 or Nature's raw guarana to increase the level of energy in your cup.

"We have some special flavor combinations on our menu that are football related like Tackle, Coin toss, Kicker, Cheerleader, etc," Langlois said. "Another item on our menu is protein coffees. They come in many different flavors, and they are packed with protein and clean energy for the middle of the day boost. "

"Touchdown Nutrition's end goal is to make the community of Milford a happier and healthier place with a football twist," Langlois said.

One new patron wrote, "... I tried the peanut butter Oreo shake and their blow pop tea. They both tasted absolutely amazing!!! Definitely going to frequent this gem a lot!"
