Milford Church Planning Major Parking Lot Project
The church has an application currently pending before the Planning and Zoning Board.
MILFORD, CT — Cornerstone Christian Center at 349 Wheelers Farms Road is seeking approval from the city for a new parking lot.
The church is seeking approval from the Inland Wetlands Agency for a 97-space parking lot at 352 Wheelers Farms Road.
349 Wheelers Farms Road is to be used in conjunction with this project with shuttles going across the street, according to recent meeting minutes. There is an existing 4-bedroom family home on the site that will remain to house guests and a small office, according to plans. The site is 1.7 acres. According to Realtor.com, the property was purchased in 2019 for $310,000.

A 3-5’ retaining wall is proposed as a demarcation of the limit of work. There will be no significant excavation. The parking area will be paved. There will be a drainage system with an underground galley; 2 catch basins, water quality chambers to the galley systems that will lead to the level spreader adjacent to the wetlands.
A fence is also proposed. A box turtle protection protocol narrative has been included. There is debris on site that is to be removed and some trees will be removed too.

The application remains pending. The church offers two services on Sunday, 9 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
