Milford Declares Snow Emergency: Here's What You Need To Know

MILFORD, CT — The city of Milford has declared a snow emergency in anticipation of a snowstorm that is expected to produce between 4-8 inches of snow on Thursday and Friday.

"Winter weather alerts have been posted for our area with a forecast of snow starting Thursday morning and continuing through Friday," Mayor Ben Blake said. "With heavy snow accumulation expected, driving conditions will be dangerous. Residents are asked to stay off public roads and limit travel."

  • Off-street parking should be utilized whenever possible and in areas where it is necessary to park in the road, Alternate Side of the Street Parking will be in effect beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18 and continuing until 8 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20.
  • Residents are reminded that they are responsible for shoveling snow and ice from their sidewalks and property, including fire hydrants.
  • Park on the EVEN side of the street Thursday, Feb. 18 through 8 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 19.
  • Park on the ODD side of the street from 8 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19 through 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20.
