Milford Declares Snow Emergency; Trash/Recycling Schedule Changed
The city has declared a snow emergency and is providing residents with information on parking, trash pickup, and more.
MILFORD, CT ? The city released the following statement regarding the upcoming winter storm:
Winter weather alerts have been posted for our area with a forecast of snow starting overnight Monday and continuing through Tuesday afternoon. With snow accumulation expected, driving conditions will be dangerous. Residents are asked to stay off public roads and limit travel.
As the City prepares for this storm, a snow emergency has been declared. Off-street parking should be utilized whenever possible and in areas where it is necessary to park in the road, Alternate Side of the Street Parking will be in effect beginning at 8:00pm Monday, February 12 and continuing until 8:00pm on Tuesday, February 13. Cars should park on the EVEN side of the street on Monday, February 12 until 8:00am Tuesday, February 13 and cars should be moved to the ODD side of the street until 8:00pm Tuesday.

Due to the timing of the storm, trash and recycling pickup for TUESDAY has been moved to MONDAY EVENING. Please have totes by the curb for pickup prior to 7:00pm today.
Residents are reminded that they are responsible for shoveling snow and ice from their sidewalks and property, including fire hydrants.
