Milford Homeowner Scares Away Burglar, Police Search for Suspect
Milford police say the woman was able to throw a clothes basket at the burglar causing him to flee.

Milford police are investigating a residential burglary in which the homeowner was present and she ended up locking herself in a bedroom.
Police are asking for your help in solving the case.
At around 8 p.m. on Nov. 20, an unknown male entered a home on Devonshire Road in Milford, according to police.

The entry was forced by method of a screen getting cut , which allowed the unknown male to push up a window, police said.
The homeowner saw the suspect while he stood in the kitchen, which led to her throwing a clothes basket at the burglar before locking herself in a bedroom, police said.

The suspect left through a side door without taking any possessions, according to police, who say the suspect is described as being 5 feet 7 inches and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
