Milford Hospital Announces 'Dinner with the Doctor'
Milford Hospital will host 'Celiac Disease: What You Need to Know' during 'Dinner with the Doctor' on June 19.

From Milford Hospital: Milford Hospital to Present Information on Celiac Disease During “Dinner with the Doctor.” Everyone has occasional digestive problems. Symptoms can be uncomfortable and embarrassing, but often are not serious. Other times, common digestive issues can be the sign of something more serious. Knowing what to look for and when you should talk to your doctor can help you take better care of your digestive system.
On Monday, June 19th at 6:00pm, Milford Hospital will host the next in their series of Dinner with the Doctor programs. The session titled “Celiac Disease: What You Need to Know” will be led by physician, Dr. Jennifer Thompson. Dr. Thompson is with Gastroenterology Center of Connecticut and is on the Milford Hospital Medical Staff. Her practice area includes a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of Celiac Disease. During this interactive presentation, Dr. Thompsonwill present the facts and answer common questions regarding Celiac Disease including: who is at risk, what are the symptoms, how is it diagnosed and how is it treated.
The timely and free session will be held in the Milford Hospital Auditorium, 300 Seaside Avenue in Milford. A light, healthy meal will be served. Time will be allowed for questions and answers. Registration is required. There are a limited number of seats still available, please call the Milford Hospital Community Education Department 203-876-4004 to reserve your spot.
