Milford LL 12u District Softball beats Seymour 9-1

The Milford Little League 12u District All Star softball team powered its way to a 9-1 win over Seymour in Little League Sectional Tournament Saturday morning at Dougiello Park in Fairfield. Back to back triples in the Milford 4th broke the game open in a 3-run inning for Milford.

Milford's Lauren Worzel lined the game's first pitch to left field for a lead-off single. Madyson Bull followed with a walk. Kelsea Flanagan drove in Worzel with a 1-out single. Alyssa Joye plated Bull with an RBI ground out to second base, giving Milford a 2-0 lead.

In the top of the 3rd inning, consecutive hits by Bull, Avery Falco, Flanagan, and Cassie Rodriguez’ first of three RBI’s extended the Milford lead to 5-0. Kaitlyn Dzialo drove in Rodriguez with a single making it 6-0.

Milford would put the game out of reach in the 4th as Avery Falco led off with a walk. Kelsea Flanagan scored Falco on a triple to deep center and Cassie Rodriguez followed suit extending the lead to 9-0.

Madyson Bull picked up the win for Milford allowing only 3 hits while striking out 10.
