Milford LL 12u District Softball Tops Amity 11-1
8-run 3rd Inning leads the way in 14 hit attack
The Milford Little League 12U District All-Star softball team topped Amity 11-1 in Pool Play Thursday night at Brewster Field. Milford rode the hot pitching hand of Madyson Bull who allowed 1 hit while striking out 9.
After a scoreless first 2 innings, Milford’s Julia O’Connell led off the top of the third inning with a single, the first of 7 consecutive hits with Bull, and Avery Falco each driving in a run. Alyssa Joye drove in Falco and Kelsea Flanagan with a bases-loaded single extending the lead to 6-0. Joye and Abby Corris would also score pushing the lead to 8-0.
Amity would respond with a run in the bottom of the third after a 2-out walk and stolen base to Amara Forstrom. Leah Monshein muscled a single through the infield scoring Forstrom cutting the Milford lead to 8-1 after 3 innings.

In Milford’s fourth inning, Lauren Worzel delivered a one-out single, but was forced out on Bull’s fielder’s choice. Avery Falco laced a double to deep center scoring Bull. Kelsea Flanagan followed with an RBI single and Kaitlyn Dzialo a double of her own, capping the scoring for Milford.
Cassie Rodriguez and Ericka Fabian also hit safely for Milford.

Milford is now 2-0 in Pool Play and will next take on North Branford Tuesday at 5:00 at Brewster Field.
