Milford School Leaders Outline 2025-26 Budget Proposal
District leaders said increasing operational costs are among the reasons for a 4.87 percent proposed budget hike, according to a report.
MILFORD, CT ? The school system is requesting a 4.87 percent hike that administrators are calling "skinny," according to Hearst Connecticut Media.
Superintendent Anna Cutaia presented the proposed $115 million budget for the 2025-26 school year to the Board of Education. The proposal is $5.3 million more than the current budget.
Cutaia noted that developing the budget was challenging due to increasing operational costs and salary and benefit increases amounting to $2.9 million.
