Milford Schools Approve Calendar For 2021-22 Year: What To Know

MILFORD, CT — The Board of Education has approved its academic calendar for the 2021-22 school year.

The first day of school for students will be Sept. 1 and the tentative last day of school for students is scheduled to be June 14.

Here are all the key dates as approved by the school system:

September 1 First Day for Students
September 6 Labor Day
September 7 Rosh Hashanah
September 16 Yom Kippur
September 22 Early Dismissal for Students
October 27 Early Dismissal Students
November 2 Professional Learning for Staff - No School
November 24 Early Dismissal Staff & Students
November 25 & 26 Thanksgiving Holiday
December 8 Early Dismissal Students
December 23-31 Holiday Recess

January 17 Martin Luther King Day
January 26 Early Dismissal Students
Feb 18 & 21 Winter Recess
February 23 Early Dismissal Students
March 9 Professional Learning for Staff – No School
March 16 Early Dismissal Students
April 13 Early Dismissal Students
April 15 Good Friday
April 18-22 Spring Recess

Note: The last day of school is tentatively June 14. If additional days are required for emergency/snow closures, they will be added to June, but not to go beyond June 24. Should more days be needed, they will be deducted from the April 2022 vacation beginning with April 22nd and backing up to April 18th.

Milford Public Schools delayed start times will be 2 hours after the regular start time for your school.
