Milford Schools Exploring the Use of Solar Panels
It is part of the city's clean energy initiative

The Board of Education recently entered into an agreement with the city and Davis Hill Development of New York City to increase its solar energy presence.
The next move will be the schools asking the Board of Alderman to lease the rooftops of several schools so that solar panels may be installed, according to the New Haven Register. From there the electricity will be sold back to the town at, what has been promised to be a savings.
One of the roadblocks at this point is that for solar panels to be installed the roofs have to be in excellent shape. If they are not, problems will occur. That will lead the city to inspect the roofs to decide if they are prepared for the panels or if the roofs are in need of replacement.
