Milford Winter Storm Update: Garbage Pickup To Be Delayed

Officials announce a change to the city's garbage and recycling pickup schedule due to the winter storm.

MILFORD, CT — Due to the winter storm, the City of Milford has announced a change to this week’s garbage/recycling pickup schedule.

Garbage and recycling pickup for Friday, Feb. 19 has been rescheduled to Saturday, Feb. 20. Impacted residents are asked to place totes at the curb for pickup on Saturday. For any questions, contact the Milford Department of Public Works: 203-783-3265.

As the city crews continue to clear the streets, the Alternate Side of the Street Parking Ban remains in effect until 8 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20. Off-street parking should be used whenever possible, officials said.

“Residents are also reminded that they are responsible for shoveling snow and ice from their sidewalks and property, including fire hydrants,” officials wrote in a news release. “Thank you for your patience as City plow crews clear our streets. Please be safe.”
