New Cafe In Milford Drawing Rave Reviews For Its Food, Drinks

MILFORD, CT — The name itself is phenomenal, "Bees Knees Cafe Milford, CT," but the reviews for the food and drinks have been exceptional too. The coffee shop and eatery located at 17 Broadway in Milford recently opened.

The business is open Tuesday through Sunday from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day and it may expand its hours in the summer months.

"Have you heard the buzz? Beachside café located next to Walnut Beach Creamery offering speciality sandwiches, coffee & pastries!" the business posted on social media.

The cafe serves a wide assortment of coffee and teas, smoothies, speciality toasts, plenty of sweets including muffins and scones, sandwiches, and some healthy "Hive bowls."

The reviews left on social media are currently perfect, five out of five stars. One person wrote, "Just had breakfast at the “Bees Knees” It was awesome! Food, staff, service is great! My new favorite place."

"Super cute neighborhood cafe. Lots of choices. Great additional to the neighborhood," another person noted.

The New Haven Register did an in-depth feature on the recently opened business. Owner Nancy Burke told the New Haven Register that after 30 years in the business she still loves to "fill people with love in their tummy. I’m still passionate about it.”

In the New Haven Register article it notes that everything is made from scratch except the bread and everything inside is bee-themed as you'd expect.
