MILFORD, CT — New details have been released concerning Subway's plans to relocate some of its operations from Milford to Miami, which is where the company's new CEO resides.

The Connecticut Post reports that the move south will impact "less than 10 percent" of existing jobs in Milford. A Subway official declined to elaborate further. In early 2020, there were approximately 1,200 people who worked at Subway's world headquarters in Milford, but 500 jobs were shed last year alone including 100 as a result of the coronavirus impacts on the business, according to reports.

A top Milford official, Julie Nash, who is the city's economic development director, told the Connecticut Post that she is "confident that they are going to be in Milford for a long time.”
