New Haven Man Charged With Milford Burglaries

Police say the two burglaries occurred June 30 on Brooklawn Drive.

New Haven resident, Devyne Drayton, 26, is allegedly linked by forensic evidence to a West Haven burglary, and is now facing charges in connection with two Milford burglaries that occurred on June 30 on Brooklawn Drive, according to the New Haven Register.

Drayton was arrested with regards to the Brooklawn Drive burglaries on Aug. 19 and is accused of committing the two burglaries that occurred on that street, as well as allegedly stealing a car that was recovered the same day, Milford Police say.

Drayton is charged with first-degree larceny, third-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny, and conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary, police say.

Drayton was held on a $10,000 bond with regards to the Milford arrest, police say.

It isn’t clear whether anyone else will be charged in connection with these incidents, the Register reports.

Drayton is also being held on $150,000 bail for his alleged role in the West Haven June 29 burglary on Captain Thomas Boulevard, the Register reports. Two vehicles were stolen in that case.
