New, Unique Restaurant Set To Open At Milford Mall

MILFORD, CT — A new restaurant will open at the Connecticut Post Mall in April.

Attilio Marini, who owns the popular Cast Iron Chef Chop House & Oyster Bar in New Haven is opening Cast Iron Chef Kitchen and Bar in the former World of Beer location at the Milford mall, the New Haven Register reports.

Marini will feature 15 different types of pizzas including vegan options and craft beers too, the Register reports.

According to his menu for his New Haven restaurant, the pizzas are "Thin and crisp 12" pizzas cooked in a sizzling skillet for a unique experience." You can view the pizzas he offers here.

Marini says he innovated “the original cast iron bar pie,” according to the Register, and the cast iron pan can get to as hot as 500 degrees and produces a much different pizza than a brick oven pie.
