Obituary: Betty Jean Zynko, 73

Betty Jean Zynko, age 73, of Milford, beloved wife of Edward J. Zynko for 53 years, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Nov. 15.

Betty was born in Bridgeport, Conn. on April 22, 1940 to the late John and Anna Demek Vasko.

She dedicated her life to her God and her children.

Survivors include her children: Dawn (James) Serreti of Stratford, Edward E. (Evelyn) Zynko of New Haven, Peter Zynko of Milford, Samantha Zynko of N.Y., her many loved foster children, her sister; Mary Gombar, son-in-law; Gregory Chvirko, eight cherished grandchildren; RJ, Rachael, Christopher, Andrea, Joshua, Michael, Olivia, and Evangeline and several nieces and nephews.

Betty is predeceased by her daughter, Irene Chvirko and two sisters; Helen Grunik and Ann Muller.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Ave., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Church, Stratford.
