Obituary: Emily A. Zanghi, 93, Of Milford

Emily Antoinette Zanghi, age 93, of Milford, CT, Beloved wife of the late Joseph Zanghi, entered a peaceful rest on April 4, 2025, at Carriage Green surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 20, 1931, in Tarrytown, NY and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel (Brown) Farfalla. After completing her nursing degree, Emily worked as a registered nurse at Milford, Bridgeport and VA hospitals, before completing her career as a public health nurse for the City of Bridgeport. Emily?s retirement didn?t last long as she then began a 28-year career as an office manager at Zanghi Tax and Business Services.

Emily?s many hobbies included bridge, scrabble, pinochle, as well as jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She was an avid game player who loved competing. Even at 93 she dominated family game nights. A devout Catholic, Emily was a loving, caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and best friend. She will be missed.

Emily is survived by her devoted sons, Eric Zanghi and his wife Wila, of Sautee Macooche, GA and Marc Zanghi and his wife Diane of Milford, CT her six grandchildren, Jessica (Elisha), Ashley, Joseph, Zachary (Katherine), Erica and Marc (Tess) and two great grandchildren, Carter and Lily. She also leaves her sister, Gail Caspare (Frank) of Millwood, NY and her nieces, Kim (Walker) and Connie (Ray) and nephew, Jeff.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Saint Agnes Church (Precious Blood Parish), 400 Merwin Avenue, Milford. Interment will be held at a later date. Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 11:15 a.m. prior to the mass at the Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.
