MILFORD, CT ? James ?Monty? Montrose, 52, of Milford, passed away on December 16, 2023. Born on June 5, 1971 in Milford, CT he was the son of the late Carmine and Judith (Kazmercyk) Calandrella.

Monty, as he was affectionately called by his many friends, graduated from Platt Technical High School with a focus in Plumbing and Heating. He was a huge music fan and loved going to concerts. Monty liked to spend his time fishing, going on cruises in his uncle?s car, and stopping for a bite to eat with good company. In his younger years, he enjoyed bicycling with his uncle Joe. He was also active in a local darts league at the Elks, where he was a member of Lodge 1589. Monty was happiest visiting his family in PA and socializing with his many friends.

Monty is survived by his uncle, Joseph Kazmercyk; aunt, Joan Pilvelait; step-siblings, Julia and Mark; his great aunt and uncle, Celia and Sal Prizzi; his cousins, Fred Doyle, Judy Drapp, Tracy Murphy, Michael Doyle, and Santo and Lisa Prizzi and their families. Monty was predeceased by his step-brother, Edward.

A Memorial Service will take place at a later date. The family is being cared for by CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 BROAD ST., MILFORD, CT.
