Person Trapped Under Car In Milford, Fire Officials Say

MILFORD, CT ? Firefighters needed to use the jaws of life to rescue a person who was trapped under their car in Milford on Monday evening.

The emergency occurred on I-95 between exits 36 and 35 on the southbound side of the highway, according to Milford Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 944.

Crews got the trapped person out using the jaws of life, a stabilizer, ratchet straps, and other gear.

The person was then taken to Bridgeport Hospital.

State police said the driver had pulled off onto the shoulder but didn't place the vehicle in park, which led to the vehicle rolling back onto them, according to Hearst Connecticut Media.
