Popular Downtown Milford Restaurant Temporarily Closes

MILFORD, CT — Milford's Citrus Restaurant has closed temporarily due to a COVID-19 exposure, the owners said in a social media post. Citrus is located at 56 Broad St. in downtown Milford.

"Unfortunately due to Covid-19 exposure Citrus Restaurant will be closed until further notice," the eatery posted on Facebook. "In order to provide a safe and efficient environment we will be closed temporarily. During this time we are bringing in a professional cleaning team to deep clean and sanitize all major surfaces/areas. All staff are required to get tested and can not return to work until proof of a negative test.

"We will continue to be proactive about keeping the staff and our customers safe. Until then we will keep everyone posted about when we will re-open. But Thank you all, who have came out and dined with us in the past months or those of you who have ordered take-out. We appreciate all the support you have given us. We can’t wait to be back!"

One patron responded to the message saying, "So sorry to hear, but we understand the importance and consideration of the safety measures needed for your employees and customers. Hoping things get better soon for all and you know we will always support Citrus and Milford local! Stay well - keep strong and we will see you soon."
