Santa Claus Is Coming To Milford For Christmas: Where To See Him

MILFORD, CT ? Visits and pictures with Santa are treasured traditions for many Milford families. For them, there?s nothing quite like seeing jolly old St. Nick live and in person.

Santa arrived on Nov. 5 at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela?s Santa?s Wonderland and will hold court through Christmas Eve. Reservations are encouraged.

Connecticut Post Mall

From Nov. 17 through Dec. 24, Santa will be available for photo opportunities.

During the Santa Hours, the Connecticut Post Mall hosts various special events.

Santa Arrival Weekend

The special event is set for Nov. 17, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event is open to the public but requires a pre-purchased Santa photo package. Once you?ve purchased a photo package, register for free for the event on Eventbrite.

Festivities include snacks, drinks including a coffee bar for parents, arts and crafts for children, holiday books for family story time, face painting for ages 2-12, and the opportunity to hop into the inflatable bubble snow globe for a special photo opportunity.

Pet Photos With Santa

On Nov. 27, Dec. 4 and Dec. 11 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., families can bring their pets to take a photo with Santa. Pets must be on leashes.

Reservations are not required, and walk-ups are always welcome. However, reservations can be made on the Connecticut Post Website.

Sensory-Santa

Sensory Santa is a sensory-friendly opportunity for children with special needs and their families to enjoy a private photo session and visit Santa Claus in a calming environment before the mall opens to the public.

Sensory Santa will be held on Dec. 3 between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Reservations are not required, and walk-ups are welcomed. However, reservations can be made on the Connecticut Post Website.

City of Milford Tree Annual Tree Lighting

The city of Milford is welcoming in the holiday season with the annual tree lighting on the historic Milford Green on Friday, Nov. 24.

The event will feature caroling and the Milford Concert Band.

The guest of honor is, of course, Santa. Santa will be arriving with the Milford Fire Department around 6:15 p.m.

The festivities will begin with the Milford Concert Band at 5 p.m.
