Serial Burglar Hits Several Milford Businesses, Police Say
A man accused in other similar cases across the state is facing charges in Milford commercial burglaries.

MILFORD, CT ? A man accused in other burglaries across the state is now also facing charges in Milford, police said.
Police responded to 100 Lansdale Ave. on May 26 on a report of a burglar alarm.
Police found that three businesses had their glass front doors broken and someone had gained access. There were attempted break-ins at two other businesses as well.

A police investigation identified the suspect as Robert Bowers, 65, of Fitchburg, Massachusetts.
He was charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, and two counts of sixth-degree larceny.

Bowers is accused in similar incidents in East Lyme, Guilford, Madison, Vernon, and Manchester.
