Showers and Thunderstorms Moving Into Parts of Fairfield and New Haven County Now

The National Weather Service just issued an alert for showers and thunderstorms moving through the area.

Here is the alert:

AT 732 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...

OVER NEW CANAAN MOVING NORTHEAST AT 45 MPH.

THIS STORM WILL BE NEAR...

BRIDGEPORT AND FAIRFIELD AROUND 750 PM EDT.

TRUMBULL AROUND 800 PM EDT.

MILFORD...SHELTON...STRATFORD...MONROE AND DERBY AROUND 805 PM EDT.

SEYMOUR...ORANGE AND WOODBRIDGE AROUND 810 PM EDT.

NEW HAVEN...HAMDEN...BEACON FALLS AND BETHANY AROUND 815 PM EDT.

LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN AND LIGHTNING STRIKES CAN BE EXPECTED WITH THIS ACTIVITY.

And of course we could see snowflakes tomorrow night. A High Wind Advisory is also in effect for Saturday into Sunday and temperatures will drop significantly as part of an arctic blast Saturday night.
