Search For Suspect Connected To Domestic Incident Ends: PD
Silver Sands State Park was closed for several hours Monday as Milford police searched for a suspect involved in a domestic incident.

MILFORD, CT — A 32-year-old man, Anthony Sliney, has been taken into custody in connection to a domestic incident that occurred Monday morning, according to police officials.
Around noon, the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection officials said that Silver Sands State Park was closed due to a law enforcement investigation.
Milford police said they were in the area of Walnut Beach and Silver Sands looking for a suspect involved in a domestic violence incident. Silver Sands Park was temporarily closed for a few hours but reopened around 3:30 p.m.

Milford police said they were searching for Sliney on domestic charges. Sliney was taken into custody near Walnut Beach around 5 p.m., News 12 CT reported.
Sliney has been arrested and is now in Milford Police custody.

Police said earlier on Monday that Sliney was facing charges including: third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation, first-degree threatening, disorderly conduct, trespassing, and unlawful restraint.
