Connecticut Easter Weekend Forecast: Thunderstorms Friday, Improving Conditions Later

Connecticut is looking at some unsettled weather before we head into the holiday weekend. We'll give you the latest details.

All in all not a bad holiday weekend forecast.

Connecticut will have to deal with the possibility of some unsettled weather Friday before the sun moves in and dominates the rest of the weekend including Easter Sunday.

The only minor complaint with this forecast is that the temps aren’t a bit warmer.

If you’re out and about today you’ll need the umbrella as showers are likely especially through 3 p.m. Thunderstorms are also possible statewide throughout the day on Friday.

Here is a detailed look at the forecast for Connecticut via the National Weather Service:

Friday: Showers and thunderstorms are possible during the day with between a quarter of an inch to up to a half inch of rain. Temps will be warm up into the mid 60s. Fog is also expected to be an issue too.

Tonight: The rain is gone and skies become clear but chilly as temps fall back into the mid to upper 30s.

Saturday: Sunshine and temps in the low to mid mid 50s for all of Connecticut.

Saturday night: Temps near 35 degrees and clear.

Easter Sunday: Partly sunny and with a high temperature into the mid to upper 50s.

Sunday night: Rain may move in after midnight and continue through Monday morning.

It will also remain chilly through next Wednesday with daytime highs right around 50 degrees. But it beats last week's forecast where we were talking about a snow chance.

Have a safe and fun holiday weekend.
