Veterans Day Wreath Laying Ceremony As always, the Veterans Day Wreath Laying Ceremony will be held on Nov. 11 in front of Milford City Hall at 11 a.m. All are invited to attend this short but moving ceremony.
Community Forum on Common Core To those that aren't dialed in to the Common Core, it is really a revolutionary change to educational standards that is beginning in earnest this year. Get the details at a community forum Monday, which repeats Wednesday and on Dec. 4.

All About Mobile Apps Learn how to use mobile apps at this free workshop at the Milford Public Library. Bring your devices for the event that starts at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Milford Garden Club Program "Flowers and Fun: Design with a Smile" starts at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at 55 Prospect St. Speaker Melinda Wolcott is a National Garden Club judge from Wilton, Conn., well known for her original and beautiful designs. Her arrangements will be raffled for members and guests. There is a $5 fee for non-members.
WednesdayÂ
An Evening of Swing Music Swing band "As Time Goes By" will be performing all the old favorites. Clap along, sing, or dance! Free and open to the public. This program is generously funded by the Friends of Milford Library.
