Weather Impacts Milford's Memorial Day Weekend Events

City officials shared an updated schedule with residents.

MILFORD, CT — Due to the impending weather, the Memorial Day Ceremony will be moved to the City Hall Auditorium on Sunday, May 30 at 2 pm.

The Milford Veterans Ceremony and Parade Commission (VCPC) announced that the City of Milford will host a wreath laying ceremony and Memorial Day event on Sunday, May 30, 2021.

The Memorial Day event will take place at 2 p.m. Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner, Tom Saadi, will serve as the keynote speaker. The ceremony will be live-streamed for viewing via the Milford Government Access Television channel: YouTube.com/mgatcity

At 10 a.m, on Sunday, May 30, Milford's Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs) along with dedicated volunteers, will hold a wreath laying ceremony beginning at the WW1 monument in front of City Hall and proceeding to the other veterans monuments on the Milford green. A wreath will be placed at each monument to honor those veterans who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms and liberties we enjoy in the United States of America.
