Young Child Left In Room With Package Of Heroin: Milford Police
Police said they responded to a report of an infant having difficulty breathing earlier this week.
MILFORD, CT — A young child, who was left alone in a room where there was a package of heroin, ended up needing medical attention, Milford police said Friday.
On Wednesday, police were called to a Wildwood Avenue address on the report of an infant with difficulty breathing, police said.
Investigation led to the arrest of Donna St. John, 26, of Wildwood Avenue, who is accused of leaving "her very young child unattended" on the floor in a room that had a package of heroin on the floor, police said.

Medical attention was provided to the child who is now doing well, police said.
St. John is charged with risk of injury and given a court date of Dec. 14.
