Alcohol-Serving Taco Bell Cantina Opens In New Haven

The restaurant was a big hit in its opening weekend in New Haven.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Connecticut's first Taco Bell Cantina has opened in New Haven. The restaurant on Chapel Street serves $4 beer and is open until 3 a.m. on weekends.

The restaurant features an open kitchen concept and serves beer, sangria and spiked slushie drinks along with the usual Taco Bell food and some cantina-exclusive items, according to the Yale Daily News. The new restaurant was a hit in the downtown area this past weekend.

The restaurant chain is expanding to 300 cantina locations, according to NBC Connecticut. It first opened locations in major metropolitan locations. New Haven's location has 49 employees.
