COVID Shot Comes With Free Gas, Dunkin' Card, Waterpark Ticket

In push to get more people vaccinated, giveaways Saturday include $10 gas cards, Dunkin' gift cards, & amusement park tickets.

NEW HAVEN, CT —The shot is free. And with it comes a $10 gas card, free Dunkin' or waterpark tickets.

Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the City of New Haven Department of Public Health, in collaboration with Griffin Health, will host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Forbes Gas Station, 401 Forbes Ave.

Residents getting shots will receive $10 worth of free gas, courtesy of Forbes.

In addition to the free gas, Griffin Health is offering either a $10 Dunkin Donuts gift card or one ticket to Quassy Amusement Park to anyone getting vaccinated.

New Haven residents aged 12 and older are eligible. However, residents aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and complete one of the parental consent forms available on site.

Mayor Justin Elicker and New Haven Health Director Maritza Bond will kick off the clinic at 9 AM. The Health Department will be using the Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Shots are free. No insurance or documentation is required.
