Bicyclist Struck, Killed In New Haven Crash
Police believe that the victim was a Yale Law School student.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday near Yale New Haven Hospital, NBC CT reported. The victim was not identified but is believed to be a 26-year-old Yale Law School student.
Emergency responders arrived at South Frontage Road at York Street after 4 p.m. Previously a passing North Branford Fire Department ambulance stopped to provide aid.
The victim was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead, according to NBC CT.

An initial investigation found that a box truck was driving north on York Street in the center lane next to the bicyclist in the right lane. The truck turned right toward South Frontage Road as the bicyclist stayed going straight when the two collided, according to WFSB.
The driver of the truck is cooperating with police. The road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
