Connecticut Breweries To Be Featured in 4th Annual Craft Brew Races New Haven

From Gray Matter Marketing: National beer and running event series, the Craft Brew Races, returns to New Haven on August 5th, 2017 at Edgewood Park. The series, which consists of a 5K run followed by a beer festival featuring both local and regional breweries, is making its final stop of the 2017 season in the Nutmeg State. Ticket options for the event are: the race and festival, festival only, race and designated driver, and designated driver only. Two Roads Brewing, from Stratford, is one of twenty Connecticut-based breweries featured in the event.

The Craft Brew Races New Haven is a shaded, tree-lined 3.1 mile/5K run (or walk), starting in and winding through Edgewood Park, then passing the Yale Bowl and finishing at Coogan Pavilion. Runners will receive a custom finishers medal, then make their way to the post-race beer festival. There, participants enjoy included beer samples from all attending breweries, as well as water provided by Polar Seltzer, snacks provided by American Flatbread and KIND Snacks, live music, vendors, and food trucks.

The run starts at noon, with the festival doors opening at 12:30. All 5K participants and festival-goers receive a souvenir pint glass and entry to the festival. All designated driver ticket-holders receive a different bracelet at registration, and are welcome to enjoy the festival, designated snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages. The Craft Brew Races urge all attendees to enjoy their time responsibly. We recommend participants designate a sober driver or arrange transportation via taxi, water taxi or other forms of public transportation.

A portion of each ticket sold for the New Haven Craft Brew Race will be donated to the The Westville Village Renaissance Alliance and their efforts to support and grow the local economy and community.
