The owners said last weekend that they decided to close briefly in an effort to give employees a much-needed break and to allow for a deep clean of the store. The owners said the brief change in operations and schedule had nothing to do with the coronavirus.
On Facebook, Ferraro's Market responded to a person's question about social distancing at the market by saying they "will only allow 25 people in the store at a time. Everyone is dressed COVID-19 properly. Store has arrows, 6 ft apart marks, and the cashiers have the glass windows. As of today, all customers coming in must have a mask and gloves, New Haven county law."
