NEW HAVEN, CT — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day. July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

What: Fireworks

Where: Atop East Rock

When: Sunday July 4 at 9 p.m. Rain date is July 5.

Details: Official viewing is from Wilbur Cross High School, with music, and food trucks but people should be able to see the fireworks from anywhere in the city with a view of the monument atop East Rock Park. The summit of East Rock and the Davis Street/Farnum Drive parking lot will be closed July 4. The show will be broadcast live on WTNH.com
