Hamden Hurricanes JV Squad Cheerleaders : We Run the World
After 22 years Hamden Hurricanes JV cheer squad is headed back to the national championship.
On Saturday November 3, 2018 the Hamden Hurricanes Junior Varsity cheer team placed 2nd for sideline cheer small level one. As a result the ten girls ages 10-14 will be headed to Disney world to compete in the national competition competing against the best of the best. This will be the first time in 22 years that the Junior Varsity Hamden Hurricane cheer squad has made the trip to Orlando. The Pop Warner season starts August 1st and since then the girls practice three times a week and cheer for the 14U football team on the weekend. In order to participate in Pop Warner the girls must maintain a high scholastic record as well as attending all Pop Warner events and practices. Congratulations ladies!!!
Although the girls have qualified for the national competition they can't get there without the support from the community.
