Man Hit, Trapped By Falling Tree Seriously Injured
A tree fell on the man outside a New Haven store, it's reported. Tropical Storm Isaias downed trees, limbs and power lines around the city.
NEW HAVEN, CT — As Tropical Storm Isaias slammed into New Haven with fierce winds if little rain, a man was seriously injured when a toppled tree fell on him outside the Newhall Package Store at around 3:30 p.m., News 8 reported.
The New Haven Independent reported city emergency operations director Rich Fontana as saying at the store at 311 Newhall St., a “tree fell on a male victim,” causing “very serious leg injuries."

In Westville, a large tree snapped and fell on Marvel Road, but didn’t bring wires with it.
