Man Who Refused To Wear Mask In New Haven Court Arrested
A man accused of refusing to wear a mask at New Haven Superior Court was arrested Friday.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A man was removed from New Haven Superior Court and arrested Friday for refusing to wear a face mask, The Hartford Courant reported. Pedro Borrero, 36, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and violating a state order requiring face masks indoors.
State troopers were called to the courthouse at about 3 p.m. for a disturbance and were informed that Borrero went inside the courthouse without a mask. He screamed at staff until he was escorted out by court marshals.
Borerro was scheduled to appear in court for two misdemeanor sexual assault charges, according to The Hartford Courant.
