Mayor, Police Chief, Officials Outline Plan To Curb Violent Crime
The strategy includes "violence interruption," re-entry and supportive services, shooting taskforce and increased beat and bike cops.
NEW HAVEN, CT —Thursday via Zoom, New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker will join the bi-weekly COMPSTAT meeting to present, along with New Haven Police Department Chief Renee Dominguez, and New Haven Community Services Administrator Dr. Mehul Dalal, the city's "coordinated approach to reducing violent crime."
During the Violent Crime Reduction Strategy Presentation, Dalal is expected to highlight the work the city is doing on violence interruption, re-entry, and supportive services. And Dominguez will "underscore the work of the shooting taskforce and increased walking beat and bike police."
