New Haven Police Investigate Two Separate Shootings
Thursday a 19-year-old from West Haven was shot. Friday, a 22-year-old from New Haven was shot. Both are listed in stable condition.

NEW HAVEN, CT —Thursday afternoon, a 19-year-old West Haven man was shot in the area of Downing Street, between Peck and Lombard streets, police said.
According to New Haven police spokesperson office Scott Shumway, police got a number of 911 calls just before 2 p.m. about a shooting. Cops arrived and learned that a man had arrived at Yale New Haven Hospital by private car, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition, Shumway said.
Then, on Friday just after noon, police got a call about a person shot on Valley Street, between Mountain Road and East Ramsdell Street. Police found a 22-year-old New Haven man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition, police said.
