New Haven Police Investigating Lilac Street Double Shooting

Two 32-year-old New Haven men were shot just before 9 p.m. Thursday on Lilac Street, between Winchester Avenue and Newhall Street.

NEW HAVEN, CT —Thursday night, two 32-year-old new Haven men were shot on Lilac Street, police said.

Just before 9 p.m., police responded to a Shotspotter alert and multiple 911 calls of a double-shooting on Lilac Street, between Winchester Avenue and Newhall Street. Both men were suffering from gunshot wounds and were taken to Yale New Haven Hospital. They're both listed in stable condition, New Haven police spokesperson officer Scott Shumway said.

Police ask that any witnesses who have not yet spoken with investigators contact the New Haven Police Department Investigative Services Division at 203-946-6304.
