Mayor Alters City Hall Hours to Make it More “Visitor Friendly”
New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker adjusts City Hall hours - a bit - to accommodate waiting public.

NEW HAVEN, CT - It isn’t the biggest initiative announced or to be announced under the regime of new New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker but he made a change in operations last week designed to make City Hall a little more visitor friendly.
Elicker, on his social media account, announced last week that City Hall offices will still open at 9 a.m. each week day, but City Hall doors will open a half-hour earlier at 8:30 a.m. so that visitors may come in from inclement weather and also use the City facilities while they wait for offices to open.
Before this change on many days people were lined up outside locked City Hall doors well before the official 9 a.m. opening time - often stuck in nasty weather waiting for the doors to open.
