New Teriyaki Restaurant Opening In New Haven

The new restaurant will open on Dixwell Ave.

NEW HAVEN, CT - The Shops at Yale: Yale University Properties is hosting a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 1:30 pm to welcome Yamasaki Teriyaki to New Haven. The ceremony will take place at 9 Dixwell Avenue and is open to the public. Please feel free to invite others in our community. Mayor Toni Harp will be joining the festivities.

Joyce Li and Sitan Chen, owners of Yamasaki Teriyaki and a husband and wife team, have been operating restaurants for nearly a decade. For more than 9 years they have owned and operated Wild Ginger located in New York, a successful pan-Asian restaurant.

Yamasaki Teriyaki offers a wide-variety authentic sushi, sushi rolls, appetizers, salads, BBQ and their specialty teriyaki dishes made with chicken, beef, shrimp or salmon. All items are made-to-order. Additional information can be found on their website - http://www.yamasakiteriyaki.com/

“I chose to open my restaurant in New Haven because of the vibrant food scene and the friendly community.” said Joyce Li, owner of Yamasaki Teriyaki. "In fact, I like New Haven so much so that I plan to retire here in the future."

Yamasaki Teriyaki, located at 9 Dixwell Avenue, is open Monday-Thursday 11:00 am-10:00 pm, Friday and Saturday, 11:00 am-10:30 pm and Sunday 12:00 pm-9:00 pm.
