Obituary: Alexzander Joshua Everson Crenshaw, of New Haven

NEW HAVEN, CT - (From Hamden Memorial Funeral Home) Alexzander Joshua Everson Crenshaw passed away peacefully in his mother’s arms on April 7, 2021, at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital in New Haven, CT.

Alexzander was born on June 25, 2020, to parents Elijah E. Crenshaw and Moriah K. Clarke. Alexzander spent most of his short life battling kidney disease, and he was a fighter until the end.

Though his time with his family was short, he touched many lives and was loved deeply by those around him.

His family cherishes his memory as the brief gift it was. Alexzander is survived by his parents, his sisters; Alexza Clarke and Addisyn Clarke, Grandparents; Denise Gardner, Khris Crenshaw and Leabert Morris, Great great grandparent; Martha Everson, Aunt; Madia Battle (Cliff), Uncles; David Crenshaw, Jermaine Crenshaw, Everson Crenshaw(Donella), Deante Chisley(Dominique), Quentin Lee, George Crenshaw, and Quinn Crenshaw, and God Mother; Chamira Allums-Wilson(Gramen).

Preceded in death by Grandfather; David Crenshaw Sr., Great great grandfather; Roger Everson, and Great great grandmother Bettie F. Gardner.

He also leaves a host of great great aunts and uncles, great aunts and uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in Alexander’s honor to the Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on April 20th at 10:00 a.m at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Ave, Hamden CT 06514.
